Katarina Popović (1974, Belgrade) works in fields of visual and performing arts, and graphic design in culture and activism. Since 2003 member of ULUS (Artists Asociation of Serbia), extended media section.
Her multidisciplinary practice includes: re-interpretation, re-examination and expansion of the basic syntax of printed media, process design, interdisciplinary projects (Growing Monument, Plant Nursery, You Say That First!, Straitjackets 1&2, Edition: 1-6), collective authorship (Polygon, Antijargon)… Member of editorial collective of TkH (Walking Theory) platform for contemporary art and theory since 2012 and graphic designer of TkH Journal for Performing Arts Theory since 2007. She presented her work at exhibitions (Common Front, Affectively, Nam June Paik Art Center, Seoul; You Say That First!, Remont Gallery; Precariat’s Meeting, Ming Contemorary Art Museum, Shanghai; HUB Gallery, GRIFON, Belgrade, Cooperation not Corporation, ITS-Z1; Disappearance of Public Space, Salon of MOCA, Belgrade; Press to Exit, Skopje; Through Red, SULUJ, Belgrade) and festivals (Akto, Bitola; Co-festival, Ljubljana; Performa&Platforma, Maribor; Kondenz, Off-frame, Belgrade). She collaborates and participates in research and working processes with many authors and initiatives on various artistic, activistic and performance art projects (Bojan Djordjev, Siniša Ilić, Tomi Janežić, Nicoline Van Harskarp, Nomad Dance Academy, Per.Art, Station Service for contemporary dance, Reconstruction – Women’s fund, Stealth…).

In 2014 Popović received 10th Grifon Award for best poster design for documentary film ‘How Ideology Moved our Collective Body’ by Marta Popivoda.
